The BENFA Socio-Economic Support Programme (BSSP) helps underserved families build greater stability. Its initiatives include the BENFA Microcredit Scheme (BMCS) and support for widows.
BMCS provides small, interest-free loans to people running small businesses. It aims to reduce dependence on costly borrowing and help families work towards financial independence.

Who is the scheme for?
The scheme supports people with small businesses who have limited access to conventional banking. Priority is given to women with small businesses and people from underserved communities.
By strengthening household livelihoods, BENFA also aims to support children’s education and reduce the pressures that can lead to child labour.
Scheme information
The programme information lists ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 loan options. For the ₹5,000 option, the stated repayment schedule is ₹250 per week over 20 weeks.
